Exploding Alphabets 7/7

Fri 7/7 2006
8pm - £1 - Morden Tower

EA is proud to present an evening of engagement with our times. Falling on
the anniversary of the London bombings, EA 7/7 will seek to fuse poetics and
politics by taking an informed and open look at terrorism and its wider
issues, namely; the role of government, the representation of terrorism in
the media and the apparant growth of extremism within local communities.

Through poetry, performance and spoken word, Exploding Alphabets hopes to
promote the importance of remaining socially aware and enagaged in uncertain
times. Expect performance and group work from members of The FATHoM Project,
soundscapist music from awesome machinist Cera, films from Bookville and
experimental poetry from EA regulars and not-so-regulars.

As always, all are welcome to perform - just arrive early with the theme on
your mind.

Exploding Alphabets 7/7 takes place at 8pm sharp on Friday the 7th of July.
It costs one pound and you will be provided with free liquor. Come to Morden
Tower, back Stowell St, China Town, Newcastle.
